Veggie Tales came swooping into my life back in 2001 when my nephew was only two. I didn't have any children at the time so he, along with his big sister, kept me current on all the popular kiddie programs at the time.
He loved Veggies therefore we watched them (and secretly enjoyed them too.) Now that we have five kids of our own we have become well versed in Veggies ourselves. In a world where children are being introduced to more and more at too young of an age it's refreshing to know that there still are a few programs out there that strive to not only entertain young children (and their parents) but also instill godly principles as well.
When given the opportunity to review this NEW DVD I quickly took advantage of it. I am glad I did, cause those adorable Veggies didn't disappoint.
This new DVD , The Little House That Stood, is brought to us from the principle in the Bible that teaches us to build our lives on solid ground so that when storms come, and we all know they will, we can stand strong.
In the show the Three Little Pigs come into Cabbageville looking to build some new houses. There they meet one builder with a plan and two without a clue! Larry builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his houses on a firm foundation - following the wise plans from the Master Builder's Handbook! Will the Little Piggies make the right choices? Will they choose to build their homes on solid ground or take the easy and quick way out and choose hay and bricks? You will have to watch to find out.
One thing is certain however, after watching this DVD with your children you will have a great opportunity to talk with your children about what it means to build their lives on the Solid Rock, no matter how much easier building it on something less may seem.

How fun! There's a lot of veggie tales that I do like, although some have been quite disappointing. Glad to hear that it's a good one!
